2021 Feeding The Valley’s Mobile Pantry Program

On March 20, 2021, Chuck Easters, the General Manager at Rivertown Toyota, spent the morning volunteering for Feeding the Valley’s Mobile Pantry Program, packing boxes of food and loading them into trunks for Columbus residents facing food insecurity.

2021 MercyMed 5K – Continuing To Be A Platinum Sponsor

In February 2021, Rivertown Toyota donated $2,500 to the MercyMed clinic and applied for the Toyota matching grant for another $2,500, contributing $5,000 as a Platinum sponsor of the MercyMed 5K. 10 Rivertown Toyota employees and their spouses showed up to participate in the event and support the cause!

2021 WRBL In Support of Cause For PAWS

In January 2021, Rivertown Toyota participated for the second consecutive year in the annual Cause for PAWS event. The purpose was to raise awareness of animal adoptions and to collect food and supplies for the shelter. Rivertown Toyota employees donated over 600 pounds of dog food for the PAWS Humane Society.

2020 Alzheimer’s Association Dancing Stars Of Columbus Check Presentation

Mirroring the popular TV dance competition, this fundraising event features local leaders and businesses paired with local celebrities to see who has the best moves. Rivertown Toyota was a “Purple” sponsor and contributed $2,500 for the dance floor to help do our part to raise money for the Georgia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.

2020 Back To School Supply Drive

Rivertown Toyota joined forces with the community to help stock local students with all their school supplies for the school year. We served as a drop off location for this important drive.

2020 Cause For PAWS

Rivertown Toyota is all about supporting our community. That includes our furry friends, too! Cause For PAWS is a charity dedicated to helping our four-legged friends by providing supplies like dog/cat food, toys and other supplies to PAWS Humane (Columbus’ primary animal rescue, adoption and veterinary service provider).

2020 Empty Bowl

In Georgia, one in five children are considered food insecure. Empty Bowl creates hand-painted and hand-crafted bowls to take home as an effort to raise awareness. Rivertown Toyota showed up to volunteer their time for the event and fill bowls with soup for those in need.

2020 MercyMed 5K

Rivertown Toyota is an active participate in this 5K race benefiting MercyMed of Columbus. We were one of the Platinum Sponsors, and utilizing the Toyota Match Program, we were able to donate $5,000.

2020 Safe House Ministries Men’s Clothing Drive

Rivertown Toyota helped drive donations of men’s clothing to benefit Safe House Ministries, Inc., a short-term shelter for victims of domestic abuse and homelessness for the local community.

2020 Stamp Out Hunger Event

Local food bank, Feeding The Valley, was presented a check by Rivertown Toyota to aid in their efforts in stamping out hunger in the Columbus community.

2019 Bags For Fosters

Rivertown Toyota accepted donations of backpacks and suitcases as well as basic hygiene products from the community to benefit Bags For Fosters. Their mission is to provide foster children with their own bag full of supplies.

2019 Big Brothers Big Sisters

Everyone needs a mentor. Big Brothers, Big Sisters takes this to heart by helping promote mental health and well-being among children across the country. Rivertown Toyota’s General Manager, Charles Easters, volunteered for this event as a member of his Rotary Club.

2019 Big Gobble Thanksgiving Day Volunteering At Feeding The Valley

Rivertown Toyota manned the line this Thanksgiving! Volunteers aided in distributing food for the less fortunate at Feeding The Valley, a local food bank.

2019 Christmas Angel

Be an angel to a child in need. That was the impetus behind the Christmas Angel program and Rivertown Toyota jumped right in by collecting donations from the community. These were gathered up and distributed to at-risk children throughout the Columbus area.

The community went above and beyond this year! The food drive benefiting Feeding The Valley was a huge success and overflowed the truck bed Rivertown Toyota was using as a donation drop off point.

2019 Help The Hooch

Rivertown Toyota jumped in with the community to help clean up the Chattahoochee River. Volunteers from all over got nets, bags and more to Help the Hooch.

2019 Literacy Alliance Book Drive

Creating the desire to learn is important for children of all ages. Rivertown Toyota helped do its part to facilitate that by putting on a book drive for Literacy Alliance, a local non-profit focused on improving literacy in Columbus.

2019 Mobility Worldwide

Rivertown Toyota took to the green for the community! We hit the links with others in a charity golf tournament to help raise funds for Mobility Worldwide of East Alabama and West Georgia. This organization builds and gives away mobility carts free of charge to individuals with reduced mobility or the inability to walk.

2019 No Shave November

You might have noticed a change in some of the staff at Rivertown Toyota. That scruff served a purpose though – to help grow awareness of and funding for cancer prevention and education. Not only did this help raise awareness, but also, a donation was made to the John B. Amos Cancer Center in Columbus for every day our GM didn’t shave!

2019 Open Door Community House Toy Drive

The holidays are here again and Rivertown Toyota is once again looking to help the less fortunate. We’re running a Holiday Toy Drive benefiting the Village Toy Store. Their store is for less fortunate families and provides them heavily discounted toys so families can make choices instead of taking what is given to them, helping to restore their dignity.

The community is coming together once again to give back to the less fortunate and Rivertown Toyota is proud to be a part of it. We helped volunteer at Columbus’ Rose Hill United Methodist Church to feed the homeless.

2019 Soles4Souls

You only get two feet so having shoes is very important. Soles4Souls is a nonprofit designed to turn unwanted or gently used shoes and put them to good use for the less fortunate. Rivertown Toyota was proud to help donate our gently used shoes to this worth cause.

2019 Stuff The Bus

School is coming back so Rivertown Toyota decided to do its part to make it easier this year. Stuff The Bus is a school supply drive benefiting local schools by providing backpacks full of school supplies donated by the community.

Students aren’t the only ones who need supplies. Rivertown Toyota accepted donations for our Teachers Supply Drive to take some of the burden off teachers by providing them common classroom items.
